Build her clipped wing or standard length wing. But for one thing for sure, Cal Smith new how to design and build them right!
Wing Span 60" or 72". Length 48". Powered by a K & B .19 but I suggest .25 to .30 for grass fields take offs.  1/6 scale. No cowl to mold or buy and no wind shield to form.
Magazine article has a BOM (Bill Of Materials) and is included of course for Free..... What?,,, Ya think I would cheat a poor bloke like you out of a few shillings? Blimey mate, I be no rogue I say, but a poor ole fisherman down to his last pence I be,,,, aye.
Purchase the plans now, get them printed on a bad weather day, and your "good to go" for this winter.

And NO, Hobby Helpers NEVER look so good. They could cram more plans onto a piece of paper than kids in a phone booth!
The 2 files will print sheets just 36" x 46" and 36" x 49".

Files $10.00

Porterfield

72" wing span, 11.5" chord. 48" length. Power - .40 to .60

Included is the 2 page magazine article on this plan.
I designed this plan to be a fast and easy build. Even the fuselage sides are shown.
The 3 files will print sheets 26" x 52", 24" x 69" and  24" x 86".
Being on 24" wide paper will allow you to enlarge the plans onto 36" wide paper and up to 150% in size. Nice huh?

Waco CG-4A Small Military Glider

To print the plans at home; open the TIFF file with Paint (which is included in all recent versions of Microsoft Windows) you can print the full size image on small printers. Once you have the file opened with Paint, go into page setup and tell it no centering, 0 margins and 100% size. Then, when you print it, it will be divided up into as many individual sheets as necessary to hold the full size image. These sheets can then be fastened together to make one big sheet. I strongly suggest useing "glue sticks" found at any store to fasten the sheets together.

These is a high resolution TIFF file and PDF file containing 200 x 200 dots per inch.
The file will print small plan 24" x  36"

HOW COOL!

50" wing span and length 30". Neat looking Military glider.
You could print this one at home and builder her in your apartment.
This plane would make a neat looking scale project for those who enjoy building.
What if you launched her off the buildings roof?

History: The CG-4A was the most widely used U.S. troop/cargo glider of World War II. Constructed of fabric-covered wood and metal, the CG-4A was crewed by a pilot and copilot. It could carry 13 troops and their equipment or a jeep, a quarter-ton truck or a 75mm howitzer loaded through the upward-hinged nose section. Usually, C-46s and C-47s were used as tow aircraft.

Flight testing began in 1942, and the CG-4A first went into operation in July 1943 during the Allied invasion of Sicily. It also participated in the D-Day assault on France on June 6, 1944, and in other important airborne operations in Europe and in the China-Burma-India Theater. Until late in the war, gliders were generally considered expendable in combat and were abandoned or destroyed after landing
